(Ephesians 4:30) “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption."

I'm going to break off again in order to answer some questions. If the Holy Spirit can experience grief, this highlights an emotional depth associated with personhood. Knowing that the Holy Spirit feels emotions like ours shows that He's 'one' with us. That when He intercedes for us, He understands where we are; that He feels our pain.

There's a guy I like called David Diga Hernandez, and he answers a lot of our questions here:

If I were to get two glasses of water and pour them into a single vessel, not only would you not again be able to separate those waters, you wouldn’t be able to tell those waters apart! You would recognise that the two had become one!

In the same way that you had become born-again, you had become alive in the spirit, you became alive unto union with the Holy Spirit. So, your body (which is your earth suit), your soul (which harbours your free will, emotions, your thoughts, and your personality), and your spirit (which is where you find your true identity) are now alive, and all connect with GOD.

So, as Christians, we’re not aiming to connect with GOD - and I know that might sound rather negative or disrespectful to what the journey of faith is, but I didn’t mean it in that way. In fact, we should be inspired to know that we’re not living in an attempt to connect with GOD. Christianity is not an attempt to connect with GOD; go back to the glass of water - it’s living out of the Union that you already have!"

Let us pray, "Heavenly Father, we thank You for the profound truth that we are not striving to connect with You, but are living from the union we already have through Christ Jesus and Your Holy Spirit. Help us to embrace this relationship fully, knowing that our lives are a reflection of Your presence within us. Inspire us to live each day rooted in this Divine connection, and may our actions and thoughts be guided by this deep bond. Strengthen our faith as we walk in the assurance of our unity with You." Amen!
