For context, after I had been miraculously healed of cancer, our Church Pastor asked me to visit a lady who had been likewise diagnosed and was told she only had a few weeks left ...
Her husband, a man in his early 60s, opened the door, and you could see immediately how upset he was; the minute I was through the door, he began crying (sobbing). However, the lady of similar age seemed to have a look of enigmatic resignation, almost stoic.
Long story short, we prayed, and I received nothing from the Lord, but I was worried and uneasy by her inscrutably holy expression, which somehow unsettled me. After a lot of chit-chat, I was about to leave when I felt the Lord nudge me, and catching on, I asked for a glass of water. The husband immediately set off into the kitchen. Taking my opportunity, I asked her, "You don't want to be healed, do you?" "No, I do not!" she replied absolutely emphatically. "I've had quite enough of this life..."
As usual, I've asked the Lord what He wants to say to you, and I believe He spoke this,
"Unbelief has many faces,and some of them can look distinctly holy. Desperation however, has but one face..."
“Are your ears awake? Listen. Listen to the Wind Words, the Spirit blowing through the churches. Christ-conquerors are safe from Devil-death.” (Rev 2:11)
