“…if a person endures the sorrow of suffering unjustly because of an awareness of [the will of] God. After all, what kind of credit is there if, when you do wrong and are punished for it, you endure it patiently? But if when you do what is right and patiently bear [undeserved] suffering, this finds favour with God. (1 Pet 2:19)

I'm loving this intercourse. Yesterday's message brought about the question, "But what about my unjust suffering?"

So, let's explore that angle, and (once again) rather than me droning on, I'll let you read a great interview with Jordan Peterson, “The Power of Faith in the Face of Adversity.”

“… You are morally obligated to maintain faith no matter what happens to you. And there’s a practical side to that. So, you’re imagining that GOD and satan are conspiring against you – there’ll be times in your life where it feels like that’s happening, and then imagine that your reaction to that is to become bitter and resentful and hostile.

Well then, whatever hell you’re in now - merely as a confluence of tragic events, well your attitude has now opened a whole other hell underneath it. The hell of bitterness, resentment, and ingratitude - and that turns into the desire for revenge very, very quickly.

You think things are bad, just because their bad, you wait to see how bad they can become if you allow yourself to be corrupted by your ‘unjust’ suffering.

And that’s really the moral of the story of Job, which is that you are morally obligated to maintain faith no matter what happens to you.

As my dear friend and Pastor John Smith (and my wife) would aptly say, "It really doesn't matter what you think. What is GOD saying! What is He trying to teach you through all this?"

“Are your ears awake? Listen. Listen to the Wind Words, the Spirit blowing through the churches. Christ-conquerors are safe from Devil-death.” (Rev 2:11) ❤️
