(Jeremiah 33:8) "I will cleanse them from all their wickedness (guilt) by which they have sinned against Me, and I will pardon (forgive) all their sins by which they rebelled against Me."
NB - What is rebellion but the action or process of wilfully resisting authority, control, or convention?
I had a childishly grumpy day today ... nothing was going 'my' way and so I decided to have a good, long, sulk!
The Holy Spirit was trying to talk to me, but I decided to ignore Him. He wanted me to react to something in a certain way, but, like a child, I didn't want to.
Later, when I needed the Lord for something, I got, “Why do you call Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not practice what I tell you?" (Luke 6:46)
I'm sure this puerile attitude won't resonate with any of you, but if it does, then please pray with me, "Lord, please cleanse me from all my wickedness (guilt) by which I have sinned against You. I believe You have forgiven me, so please help me now to forgive myself for all my sins and rebellions against You." Amen!
