(Psalm 46:10) "Be still, and know that I am God..."

Just got this from our sister Jo and had to share it.

"I had an experience at the “veneration of the cross” [at a Catholic Mass], even though I was sceptical that this was worship and that it bordered on idolatry, I went ahead.

I was invited by a deacon training to be a priest who has taught me so much about using inanimate objects to somehow turn into an act of worship! As [my husband] and I went to the front of the church, the deacon suggested I might want to lay prostrate before the cross. (My Lenton promise was to throw myself into every type of worship 100%), so I agreed.

As I slowly laid down in front of the cross the church and people seemed to disappear and there I lay, on my own, in submission to the Lord.

I had peace and felt I couldn’t get up! It felt similar to being slain in the Spirit when I was called into authority in my sending church.

But this time, I had 'chosen' to lie down. As I submitted my pride there on the floor to my Lord, he blessed me with his Peace, Love, and Courage for my next step.

I also realised worship is about how I can be invisible in front of the people to lead them into worship. It’s all about Jesus" xx
