(Matthew 18:12) [Jesus speaking] “What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them gets lost, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountain and go in search of the one that is lost? And if it turns out that he finds it, I assure you and most solemnly say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine that did not get lost. So it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones be lost."

This is undoubtedly a powerful illustration of GOD's unwavering love and commitment to seeking out those who are lost or far from Him.

Even if the sheep had deliberately run away into a life of sin, GOD tells us that He doesn't just dismiss this and say "Well it serves them right for being so stupid!" Rather, Scripture confirms that GOD "... does not take any pleasure in the death of the wicked, rather that he should turn [away] from his [malevolent] acts and live?" (Ezekiel 18:23)

So, herein we know that we are not to judge, impede, or criticise 'any' of GOD's sheep because GOD Himself will tirelessly seek the return of the lost one to Him. And if GOD will not give up on any soul until they are found and brought back to Him, we can't either!

Let us pray, "Holy Father, in Your mercy, You promise to seek the lost, bring back the strayed, bind up the injured and strengthen those who are weak. Therefore, we pray boldly for all our sons and daughters, grandsons and granddaughters, who have strayed from their faith in Jesus. Thank you for your unending Love for us all. Amen! 🙏
