(Ephesians 31:20) "God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us. Glory to God in the church! Glory to God in the Messiah, in Jesus! Glory down all the generations! Glory through all millennia! Oh, yes!”
This verse jumped out at me and made me think about how we follow Jesus...! Because, ultimately, the 'GOD giving us free will' thing means it’s all about choice.
We can be like the Israelites whom GOD redeemed from slavery in Egypt, but moaned, groaned and preferred the life they left (as slaves) rather than being ‘pushed around,’ into living the way GOD wanted.
Or ... we can act like grown-ups, recognise Him as our Redeemer (from a truly terrible and eternal death), and allow our hearts to respond through our love for Him.
NB - We're talking here about responding with a love that we’d never known before! One that lifts us out of ourselves, and automatically draws us ever closer to Him. One that actually looks forward to, and deeply enjoys, the working of His Holy Spirit in us.
It's time to choose. "...as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. (Joshua 24:15)

Let us pray the prayer our Saviour taught us: “Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done; on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil” Amen!
