(Acts 1:8) “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses ... to the end of the earth.”

This series is about how GOD is believed to communicate with us all. This next part is through (16) TESTIMONY (witness)—Many Christians hesitate to share their testimony—despite Acts 1:8—because of fear of rejection or ridicule, shame about messy stories, misplaced humility, lack of confidence or skills, cultural or workplace constraints, and (worst of all) busyness!

Honest (vulnerable) testimonies always invite — not coerce! GOD uses these Spirit-empowered testimonies—backed by changed lives and rooted in Scripture—to confirm truth in listeners, encourage believers, and multiply faith as people encounter both the story AND the living GOD behind it.

**Personal story makes truth tangible** — concrete experiences of forgiveness, healing, new purpose, or moral transformation translate abstract doctrine into lived reality. Hearing “this happened to me” helps listeners connect emotionally and intellectually.

**The Holy Spirit confirms the message** — testimony is always accompanied by an inner witness of the Holy Spirit in listeners (conviction, peace, or a sense of calling), which validates the verbal testimony beyond mere persuasion. (Matthew 13:3)

**Authentic vulnerability builds credibility** — honest accounts of struggle and grace (not polished claims) make testimony believable and relatable; GOD uses BROKENNESS to display his power.

**Consistent life-testimony backs words** — when a person’s ongoing behaviour matches their story, it reinforces trust and demonstrates that the change is enduring and GOD-produced (not temporary or even theatrical).

**Community multiplies impact** — testimonies shared publicly or within small groups encourage believers, normalise faith, and give nonbelievers multiple points of contact with the Gospel through living relationships and stories.

**Testimony invites response** — stories often end with an implicit or explicit invitation: repent, believe, receive prayer. They lower barriers and make it easier for people to take the next steps.

Let’s pray, “Heavenly Father, I read this and am convicted. Come fill us afresh with boldness, power, and wisdom to be faithful witnesses to Jesus — here, near, and to the ends of the earth. Give us courage to speak of what You have done in our lives with humility and clarity, sensitivity to the Spirit’s leading, and compassion for those who hear. Equip and anoint our words and actions, so they confirm faith, draw hearts to Christ, and bear lasting fruit for Your kingdom.” Amen!
