(Luke 22:19) "And He (Jesus) took the bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, 'This is My body, given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same way, after supper, He took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is poured out for you.”
In this series, we're delving deeper into the teachings that Jesus left us to follow. The thirteenth commandment leads us to our next focus: COMMUNION.
As promised, here's the final part of my wife's wonderful revelation with you...
"I want to remind you that Communion is meant to be a celebration of Jesus' Victory for us - not of His death!
Jesus said (John 6:53) “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.” He was speaking of receiving Him completely. His Life. His Sacrifice. His Nature. His Covenant. Communion is the believer stepping into agreement with what Christ’s Body and Blood have already accomplished.
They are not meant to be approached with solemn sadness, but with Covenantal Joy. (Luke 22:19) “… Do this in remembrance of me.” Remembrance is recognition. It is recognising the Victory - not the suffering! The Triumph - not the pain endured! It is recognising the Glory released through the Cross.
Communion is not a funeral service - it is a Victory meal. It is a believer sitting at a table where everything Christ purchased is served freely. It is the believer receiving all that Christ paid for. It is the believer declaring, “His Body healed me. His blood made me Righteous. His Sacrifice made me Whole. When you approach Communion with this understanding, everything changes!
Communion is a proclamation. You are declaring in the spiritual realms, the Victory of the Cross, the Covenant is intact.
Communion is an act of agreement - it is Holy. Not sorrowful, it is Victorious. Jesus didn’t establish communion to remind you of suffering, but to remind you of TRIUMPH!
Communion is spiritual warfare - not warfare with noise or emotion, but with Covenental Authority!
Communion is not taken alone - Heaven participates. It is a Blood-sealed Covenant, and Heaven moves when the Covenant is Honoured!

Let's pray, "Heavenly Father, open my heart and mind to fully grasp the significance of Communion. Help me to remember the sacrifice of Jesus and the love it represents. Grant me wisdom and understanding to appreciate this sacred act, so that it may strengthen my faith and connection with You." Amen!
