Wednesday

… we come to God in faith knowing that he is real and that he rewards the faith of those who passionately seek him. (Heb 11:6‬)

Have you ever been smitten in love?

Do you remember the early times with the wife of your youth, (husband or partner), how they would just walk in a room and lighten it up?

I would try and engineer meetings so that I could just be around her, everything about her was just fabulous and I couldn’t get enough of her. When her dog was old and died, she was terribly distraught and even though I didn’t know her that well, my heart broke too – for her loss!

When we finally got married and she got pregnant her joy and sheer radiance nearly ripped me apart – just being around her rocked my world. Although I didn’t have a clue what was happening, I just wanted to be around her – needed to be around her!

Are you getting the picture yet? Isn’t this the kind of relationship that our Father wants to have with us?

One of wonder, excitement, joy and adventure. ❤️
