When our children were young I remember walking with them outside as they took their first steps. Sunshine or rain, cold or hot, everything was fresh and exciting to new eyes and senses.

Flowers bursting with colour, butterflies and birds amazing… and when their interest was especially piqued and at their insistent pulling, I would release their tiny hands and allow them to explore whatever they considered interesting – this was after all, their world.

Isn’t this the awesome picture of our Heavenly Father? His promise is that He will never leave or forsake us? And even if we choose to walk away from the comforting Strength and Protection of His hand, His love for us will ever keep him near, ever watching over us… faithfully waiting for our return. ❤️
