Go home and prepare a feast, holiday food and drink; and share it with those who don’t have anything: This day is holy to God. Don’t feel bad. The joy of GOD is your strength! (Neh 8:10) Whenever I think on these Words of the Lord I smile. The thing is, I don’t try and dredge them up to psyche myself up for walking through the next valley of the shadow of death! Oh no! Rather I believe that as I walk through another valley I can actually hear GOD laughing at the darkness trying to overpower me! His overwhelming Joy becomes my Strength. His laughter doesn’t just encourage me, it’s contagious and makes me laugh too! Lord Jesus, you’ve said that we should ‘give’ away our blessings. I choose to give this to all who read and need it. Amen! X
