Tuesday

What can we bring to the Lord? Should we bring him burnt offerings? Should we bow before God Most High with offerings of yearling calves? Should we offer him thousands of rams and ten thousand rivers of olive oil? Should we sacrifice our firstborn children to pay for our sins? No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. (Micah‬ ‭6:6)

We had just moved from the North to the South to join attend a Bible College and money was extremely tight. Anyway, It was collection time at church and we were all asked to kneel and pray. It was raining heavily outside and as a young mother knelt down in front of us together with her children, my wife noticed that her shoes had holes in them. My wife took hold of the envelope I had placed our offering into and when we all stood again, she casually leant forward, hugged the woman, whispered something in her ear and surreptitiously placed the envelope into her hand.

… do what is right. Love Mercy and walk humbly with your GOD. ❤️
