(Jesus speaking) “I am the Vine, you are the branches. When you’re joined with me and I with you, the relation intimate and organic, the harvest is sure to be abundant. (‭‭John‬ ‭15:5)

My hot water immersion heater decided to pack up yesterday and so I called my friend who’s an electrician to come and help. As we were discussing life in general we spoke about how the COVID lockdowns were taking their toll on us and our friends and families.

If you read (and believe) the Media, then more and more people just can’t cope with the thought of being caged in and are trying to dampen down or numb their feelings by turning to alcohol, drugs, gambling, sex, shopping, etc.

History shows that GOD has graciously endowed mankind with an indomitable spirit, we don’t take lightly to being trapped or enslaved!

Nonetheless, fear, manipulation, abuse – chemical and psychological, have entrapped so many that they have abrogated their birth right and willingly become submissive slaves.

The thing is, none of this has surprised GOD, Jesus tells us quite clearly that we are to expect disruptions to our lives; wars, famines, droughts and plagues …!

So, we have a choice today – we can either mope and bemoan our lot (the government, the NHS, the scientific community, the pharmaceutical organisations, etc, and willingly move into enslavement – or we can begin to follow Jesus’s lead and move away into freedom!

Choose wisely. ❤️
