Many women have done wonderful things, but you’ve outclassed them all!

Charm can mislead and beauty soon fades. The woman to be admired and praised is the woman who lives in the Fear-of- GOD. Give her everything she deserves! Festoon her life with praises! (Prov 31:10)

I was about 14 and had somehow managed to get into a local gang of really bad kids.

One night they’d decided to try and steal a car from off a garage forecourt and go for a ride. I remember we were all gathered in one of the leaders bedrooms waiting for it to get dark.

I wanted to leave with all my heart, but peer pressure and fear locked me in. Suddenly I heard my mother walking up and down the street outside calling my name and asking (begging) me to come home.

All the boys were ridiculing me and at first and I felt ashamed, but as she called and called for me, they soon got fed up!

Finally they got fed up and booted me out of the house – AND the gang!!!

Lord, thank You for my Mother and for all she managed to do for me in my life. X
