He will swallow up death (‭‭Isa ‭25:8‬)

How many broken dreams, how many shattered hopes, how many ‘if only’s’ lay at the foot of the cross?

How many times has our Heavenly Father, heard our broken hearts and stepped in and swallowed the death of something that clung to us, sucking our life and hope away in its toxic deprivation…

And our Lord doesn’t just fix our mistakes and then step back tut tutting. Like the Good Father Jesus told us of, His hands remain outstretched towards us, always available for us to grasp – He will never gives up on us. Never!

His promise breaks out over all the noise and static of our complex and broken lives: “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.” (‭‭Isa‬ ‭41:10)
