Sunday

Jesus said to him, “What do you want me to do for you?”

The man replied, “My Master, please, let me see again!” (Mark 10:51)

Our church held a healing convention over the weekend and many were blessed, not to mention myself.

The trouble is that over 12 months of prolonged sickness and sometimes extreme pain, it became very easy for me to fall into the rut of accepting what the doctors and specialists were saying, and then planning my (very limited) life accordingly.

So, just like with the chap in the above scripture, even though he’d been born blind, once he’d met Jesus, his prefix identity changed from ‘blind’ Bartimaus to ‘healed’ Bartimaus!

Last night as everyone was encouraged to be prayed for, I faced my Maker and realised that just like Bartimaus, His Love for me didn’t agree with either the doctors prognosis or my acceptance of it!

Sickness and death are NOT part of His Plan for my life – or yours!

I fight on and WILL see the Salvation of the Lord – in the land of the Living! X
