Saturday

(Jesus speaking) “Your sins are now forgiven.” Mark 2:9

I came to my first meeting with the Awesome Christ of GOD as a filthy, sin covered beast. And although I didn’t really understand what the preacher was actually saying at the time ‘something’ in me responded, and found myself being powerfully drawn with chords of love to the one place in the whole universe where I could both be totally set free, and meet with the One who made it all possible.

I brought nothing of any worth to this precious meeting but my damaged soul. I exchanged a hard and broken and sin-damaged heart for a soft new one. I exchanged a rote-learnt bunch of religious prayers for the knowledge that this new relationship required no more than my honest communication. Real Joy filled my heart at the encounter and I knew, that I knew, that I KNEW, that I had been forgiven.

I was re-made. I was new. Born again as a Child of GOD!

Let this be your prayer too: “Jesus, if you’re as real as he says you are, then please show me.” Amen. ❤️
