The Word was first, the Word present to God, God present to the Word. The Word was God, in readiness for God from day one. Everything was created through him; nothing—not one thing!— came into being without him. What came into existence was Life, and the Life was Light to live by. The Life-Light blazed out of the darkness; the darkness couldn’t put it out. (John‬ ‭1:1) … This Son perfectly mirrors God, and is stamped with God’s nature. He holds everything together by what he says—powerful words! (Heb 1:3) As much as we want His Voice to boom across our unsurety, Jesus tells us quite clearly that it’s the Holy Spirit’s job to lead and guide us into all truth, (through deception and cloudy paths). Holy Spirit, please help me and all those reading this. We’re listening … X
