Saturday – 18/3/17

“Sirs, what do I have to do to be saved, to really live?” They said, “Put your entire trust in the Master Jesus. Then you’ll live as you were meant to live—and everyone in your house included!” (‭Acts‬ ‭16:30) Simplicity is as simplicity does. So … my bottom line is: what makes trusting so difficult? Is it because we asked for something and didn’t get it? Or is it because we wanted to ask but just couldn’t believe that he would even bother …? Maybe it’s because we didn’t feel worthy? Or holy enough? Or good enough…? Well, today is a new day and if having faith as small as a mustard seed can move a mountain then surely we can believe that ‘one of us’ reading this have that? So, let’s all hold hands (in the Spirit) and approach the Throne of Grace boldly. We’ll stand before our Father like kids whose football has burst during a game. We don’t know ‘how’ he’ll fix it – we just know that he will …! Remember though, as the play continues (with a fixed ball), he’ll be watching to see if any of us will return to say thank you …! He loves us. X
