Saturday – 1/10/16

Where could I go from Your Spirit? Or where could I flee from Your presence? If I ascend up into heaven, You are there; if I make my bed in Sheol (the place of the dead), behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the morning or dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, Even there shall Your hand lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me. (Psalm‬ ‭139:7) Sometimes our ‘life choices’ are like the old board game Snakes & Ladders! We blindly follow our peers like Lemmings, and even though we see what happens to them, we ‘somehow’ hope that our roll of the dice will ‘somehow’ avoid the pitfall they just fell down! Adding insult to injury, this is where the devil keeps singing the old Eagles song: Hotel California – ‘You can check out, but you can never leave!’ But … I’m here to remind (or introduce), you to the Lord Jesus – The Lord of ALL and ‘Somehow’! … God raised him (Jesus) from death and set him on a throne in deep heaven, in charge of running the universe, everything from galaxies to governments, no name and no power exempt from his rule. And not just for the time being, but forever. He is in charge of it all, has the final word on everything. (Eph1:20) So … wherever your ‘life choices’ have dragged you into – toxic relationships, addictions, hurts and pains, financial meltdowns and sheer living la la – just look up! Look for and call out to Jesus! He IS with you and His love for you is more than able to still the devil’s words – and check you out of the hotel – once and for all…! X
