“God resists you when you are proud but continually pours out grace when you are humble.”

So then, surrender to God. Stand up to the devil and resist him and he will turn and run away from you. Move your heart closer and closer to God, and he will come even closer to you. But make sure you cleanse your life, you sinners, and keep your heart pure and stop doubting.

Feel the pain of your sin, be sorrowful and weep! Let your joking around be turned into mourning and your joy into deep humiliation. Be willing to be made low before the Lord and he will exalt you! (‭‭James 4:6)

When I was first saved the teaching was that the devil doesn’t have to shout, he only has to whisper. In fact he whispers because he knows that our natural inquisitiveness will work for him in that we will stop moving away from him, but stop and turn and say “What?” So he whispers again. And we get even closer to him and say, “What did you say?” All this continues until, like the evil snake he is, we get so close that he easily latches onto us!

Child of the Living GOD, to It’s time to throw away some of the things we use daily; fear, hatred, envy, jealousy, lust, anger, excuses, lies … and accept that they were all born of childish self-preservation – which is after all born of us saying “I don’t need you GOD, I can look after myself” i.e. ‘pride!’

Don’t play games with the devil, do what GOD says “Surrender to GOD, stand up to the devil, resist him and he will flee from you!” ❤️
