Monday – 25/7/16

God rescued us from dead-end alleys and dark dungeons. He’s set us up in the kingdom of the Son he loves so much, the Son who got us out of the pit we were in, got rid of the sins we were doomed to keep repeating. (Col 1:13) But … how? You might ask. I still feel the same. Or I’m still hooked. Or I’m still going through the same la la …! 25 years ago I was struggling to give up smoking, then one morning when I went to wake up my baby girl, she said: “daddy, what is that horrible smell?” The addiction was still as strong, but it was then that I ‘chose’ to quit! Real life is all about choices! I can either ‘choose’ to react to a stimulation like anger, revenge, addiction, etc or I can ‘choose’ to feel the squeeze of Jesus’s hand and act as He tells me! X
