(Jesus speaking) “… Do you believe in the Son of Man?” The man said, “Point him out to me, sir, so that I can believe in him.” Jesus said, “You’re looking right at him. Don’t you recognize my voice?” (John‬ ‭9:36) I’ve posted this before, but it’s worth a repeat just now. Oswald Chambers puts it beautifully: “God doesn’t manifest Himself ‘to’ His People, but rather ‘in’ His People.” As such His Voice of Wisdom can be easily heard (and ignored) in those we’re likely to dismiss. Your mother, a FB friend or work colleague. Your temperamental boss, or your child, or the guy who’s sleeping rough outside the tube … Open my eyes Lord, I want to see Jesus. Open my ears Lord, and teach me to listen … X
