Now may God, the inspiration and fountain of hope, fill you to overflowing with uncontainable joy and perfect peace as you trust in him. And may the power of the Holy Spirit continually surround your life with his super-abundance until you radiate with hope! (‭‭Rom 15:13‬)

I’m an optimistic person generally, but as I approach my last semester I accept that the main times that I have struggled with hope is when I’ve desperately wanted something to happen – and it didn’t …!

Just like the embarrassing child at the supermarket I’ve had temper tantrums – “But Lord, what I wanted, what I prayed for, was ‘right!’ How come it didn’t happen the way I wanted it …? Or, “Lord, how come ‘he’ got ‘that’, but I’ve been waiting here for ages?”

So what changed? Well, I’ve come to realise that ‘true hope’ (hope that empowers, precedes faith and final action), only comes from being in our Father’s Presence.

True hope is a feeling of trust – the timing might not be disclosed but you have the assurance.

Child of the Living GOD, get into His Loving Presence and trust Him for a hopeful outcome. ❤️
