Open your mouth and taste, open your eyes and see— how good GOD is. Blessed are you who run to him. (Psalm‬ ‭34:8‬) Like so many before me, I too had been to church and around ‘good people’ for many years before I ever really ‘heard’ the Gospel of Jesus (in my heart). Then, one horrible day, I found myself ‘alone’ facing a very horrible and ugly situation and for once in my life nothing worked! All my ‘friends’ seemed to disappear like smoke, my practised charm and glib silver-tongued lies didn’t work – I was desperate! At that point my hardened (and very frightened) heart reached out to God and I ‘heard’ the Gospel and acknowledging that I wasn’t the hot shot that I’d projected to all and sundry, I humbled my heart to receive help. Jesus stepped in …. I can honestly say that I have NEVER been disappointed in His Living Presence since that day of amazing Grace and freedom! Don’t wait for desperate times, Papa God won’t (can’t) let you down! Taste and see for yourself that the Lord is Good! X
