Friday

You’ve always given me breathing room, a place to get away from it all, A lifetime pass to your safe-house, an open invitation as your guest. You’ve always taken me seriously, God, made me welcome among those who know and love you. (‭Psalm‬ ‭61:3) I was told a story of a huge guy in prison who was being accompanied everywhere by 2 guards. Apparently he shrugged off his guards and broke away and charged a couple of ladies from the chaplaincy who were there to offer prayer and support. One of the ladies cringed against a wall whereas the other just turned, raised a finger and said calmly “let me finish praying with this man and I’ll be with you in a few minutes.“ The big guy fell down at her feet as if ‘something’ had pole axed him! The 2 guards caught up and dragged him into a cell and the lady came in and spoke kindly to him. Apparently he was a ‘Pastor’s son’ who had taken many wrong roads. To the guards amazement he just blurted out all his ‘sins’ and wanted to come back to Jesus and ‘Peace!’ Thank You for showing and leading me on the path of Peace Jesus, my friend. X

If we boast that we have no sin, we’re only fooling ourselves and are strangers to the truth. But if we freely admit our sins when his light uncovers them, he will be faithful to forgive us every time
