Day 95/365

So then, we must cling in faith to all we know to be true. For we have a magnificent King-Priest, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who rose into the heavenly realm for us, and now sympathizes with us in our frailty. He understands humanity, for as a man, our magnificent King-Priest was tempted in every way just as we are, and conquered sin. So now we draw near freely and boldly to where grace is enthroned, to receive mercy’s kiss and discover the grace we urgently need to strengthen us in our time of weakness. (‭‭Heb 4:14)

When we first had to deal with our children’s ‘terrible two’s’, I remember someone saying, “if you don‘t nip these tantrums in the bud now, they’ll come back in 10 years time, and by then, they’ll be ‘much’ stronger!

Whether we like it or not, all our choices have consequences. Some may appear straight away, some may fester for a little while, but they all do come back at some point - some to haunt and some to bless us.

But just look at the Scripture again. Jesus didn’t just roll a double six, go past GO, collect 200 and put his feet up for all eternity telling us, “right you lot, I’ve shown you how, now you go do it!“

He rose into the heavenly realm for us, and now sympathizes with us in our frailty. He understands humanity, for as a man, our magnificent King-Priest was tempted in every way just as we are, and conquered sin. So now we draw near freely and boldly to where grace is enthroned, to receive mercy’s kiss and discover the grace we urgently need to strengthen us in our time of weakness.

Thank You Lord. ❤️
