Day 86/365
“When people make promises, they guarantee them by appeal to some authority above them so that if there is any question that they’ll make good on the promise, the authority will back them up.
When God wanted to guarantee his promises, he gave his word, a rock-solid guarantee—God can’t break his word. And because his word cannot change, the promise is likewise unchangeable.” (Heb 6:13-18 MSG)
With my thoughts on Mother’s Day, a time came to mind when everything seemed to be going wrong for us and about half way through one of my daughters came and asked me: “Daddy, with all that’s happening, all that you and Mum are going through together, haven’t you ever felt like quitting (on God)?
“Often…!” I responded. “Mum and I have often felt like we didn’t want to be part of a particularly horrible journey, but we’ve learned that He is Faithful. We might not like where we’re being led, but we know and trust that He is, and always has been, with us in all of it.”
“Mum and I have learned that Jesus is Faithful.” ❤️
