Day 74/365

Always give thanks to Father God for every person he brings into your life in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Eph‬ ‭5:20‬)

This Scripture reminds me of how I’d watched my business collapse as I recuperated through the cancer. Then an old client contacted me and asked for some work and part of the brief was a particularly difficult technical piece. I’d heard of a guy in the church who was proficient (but difficult to deal with), but felt led to contact him.

The telephone call didn’t go down too well and although I didn’t quite slam the phone down, everything in me wanted to tell this guy to *+^%**^%#!

Finally, when I‘d calmed down, the ‘still, small voice,’ told me to call him back and ‘apologise!’

I couldn’t believe it! “But why should ‘I’ apologise? You heard how difficult he was?” I whined. “I’ll just find someone else to help me,“ I begged ...” But no. The ‘still, small voice wouldn’t let up ...! And so I called him back and knowing I’d get no peace until I did - I apologised.

We’ll he did the work beautifully and we both got paid enough to get us both out of some serious financial problems, AND we became friends AND we subsequently gave each other even more work ...

Bottom line... don’t be so eager to judge who GOD brings into your life. We have thrown away far too many blessings this way. ❤️
