Day 71/365

Are there any believers in your fellowship suffering great hardship and distress? Encourage them to pray! (James ‭5:13‬)

Rather than distress, some translators have written the old word ‘affliction.’ E.g. something that causes agony, suffering, or great pain.

The thing is - what’s the first thing you ’really’ reach for when you’re feeling afflicted or distressed? Booze? Tablets? Human comfort? Social Media?

I’m sure we’ve all heard it said that more miracles happen in remote places in the world than here, but that’s simply because they don’t have access to all the paraphernalia we have over here. Our brothers and sisters over there actually have no plan B - no other option but to pray to GOD and believe that He will answer.

If that’s the case, then we can’t really grumble when GOD allows us to exhaust ourselves on all our Plan A’s as long as GOD remains our plan B, can we? GOD is ever present. He is ever ready to ‘prove’ Himself strong on your behalf. In all our situations, He alone is Worthy. Worthy of being our Redeemer, our Restorer, our Healer and ... our Friend.

My Child. Trust me enough to honour me. ❤️
