Day 54/365

“Then Jesus came close to them and said, “All authority of the universe has been given to me. Now wherever you go, make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. And teach them to faithfully follow all that I have commanded you. And never forget that I am with you every day, even to the completion of this age.” (Mat 28:18-20‬ ‭TPT‬‬)

As I understand it, the Greeks define their word for baptism (Baptizo) to mean the immersion of fruit or vegetables to be pickled.

As such and simply put, if a cucumber was placed into a pickling solution and left in there, then we all know it would end up as a gherkin. But if it could jump out whenever it wanted, then it would be just a cucumber - albeit one smelling of vinegar and spices.

Just as needing Jesus is a 'daily' requirement. So we're not just called to have a one-off ‘dip’ or 'shower' in Christ Jesus. We're called to 'remain' in Him - in His Presence - in close relationship.

Lord, help me to stay put 'in You!' To quit jumping out of situations where you want me to be. Help me to be the Child you want me to be! Amen! ❤️
