“Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God's unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it].” (Heb 4:16 AMPC)
Jesus forgave a thief hanging on a cross, knowing full well the thief had converted out of plain fear. He knew that thief would never study the bible, never attend synagogue or church and never make amends to those he had wronged...!
He simply said "Jesus remember me," and Jesus promised "today, you will be with me in Paradise."
Philip Yancey writes: It was another shocking reminder that Grace does not depend on what we have done for God, but rather what God has done for us.
When you review the above alongside Jesus' words of: "... with the measure you use, it will be measured unto you!" Then isn't it best to leave the Way to Salvation up to Him? ❤️
