Day 42/365
(Jesus speaking) “You have minds like a snake pit! How do you suppose what you say is worth anything when you are so foul-minded? It’s your heart, not the dictionary, that gives meaning to your words. A good person produces good deeds and words season after season. An evil person is a blight on the orchard.
Let me tell you something: Every one of these careless words is going to come back to haunt you. There will be a time of Reckoning.
Words are powerful; take them seriously. Words can be your salvation. Words can also be your damnation.” (Mat 12:34-37 MSG)
Reading this brings quite a shock to the system doesn’t it, but don’t lose heart, Jesus has already given us the remedy?
Holy Spirit, please take charge of my heart, mind and tongue. Lord, please forgive every word I’ve ever uttered that hurt you. I choose this day to walk with you and please you in all I think and do and say. Amen!
“Then those whose lives honored God got together and talked it over. God saw what they were doing and listened in. A book was opened in God’s presence and minutes were taken of the meeting, with the names of the God-fearers written down, all the names of those who honored God’s name.” (Malachi 3:16 MSG) ❤️
