Day 37/365
“Then you will seek Me, inquire for, and require Me [as a vital necessity] and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. (Jer 29:13 AMPC)
When I read this it remind me of the story of an old rabbi who, walking home, finds a young boy on the street all alone and crying.
“Son, what is it? Why all this weeping?” The boy explains, “We were all playing hide-and-seek. I was hiding, and they didn’t find me. Now they’ve all gone, they just quit looking for me, and they all went home.” The boy began to sob, hugging his knees to his chest.
The rabbi realized that this child’s sorrow is like God’s sorrow. God has, in a sense, concealed Himself and bids us to look for Him, but no one is trying ...
“The Lord is good to those who wait hopefully and expectantly for Him, to those who seek Him [inquire of and for Him and require Him by right of necessity and on the authority of God's word].” (Lam 3:25 AMPC) ❤️
