Day 284/365

“… Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord of hosts.” (Zec 4:6‬ ‭AMP‬‬)

Our Heavenly Father must have heard the cry of ‘why’ or better still, ‘why me?’ a gazillion times.

We all take pain and loss differently and there are plenty of things out there that we’ll use to numb the pain, such as a surfeit of food, booze, sex and drugs, etc.

Then, in the cold light of a new day, when reality comes knocking again people’s reactions will vary tremendously. Some turn inwards, become sullen, depressed, and disgusted with themselves, and some explode outward and become violently antagonistic and almost demonic.

Many of us will balk at confronting those in such conditions. So who is able to minister to and undo these knots of heart-pain that we‘be willingly twisted ourselves into? Who is able to untie human hearts from self-inflicted bonds of hurt and anger?

Only the Lord of the heart. Only the GOD of Peace is able, and willing and capable of cleansing and restoring hearts. And how does He do it?

Not by force of will to back down, or intimidating power of argument. But by the gently administered love of His Holy Spirit. ❤️‬‬
