Day 283/365

“I promise that I will never leave you helpless or abandon you as orphans—I will come back to you!” (John‬ ‭14:18‬ ‭TPT‬‬)

I was sleeping at my Mother’s (now very empty) house when I got the call that she’d passed on. I remember crawling back into bed (her old bed), and instinctively moving into the foetal position, my heart raw with emotion as I thought “My mother has gone, my confidant, my friend. Who will I speak with now?” When I distinctly heard a still, small voice,

“I promise that I will never leave you helpless or abandon you …” His Loving Presence filled my aching heart and (I swear) the bed creaked as my Heavenly Father lay beside me and comforted me.

“A virgin will have a baby boy, and he will be called Immanuel,” which means “God is with us.” (Mat 1:23‬ ‭CEV‬‬)
