Day 277/365

“Honor me by trusting in me in your day of trouble. Cry aloud to me, and I will be there to rescue you.” (Psa ‭50:15‬ ‭TPT‬‬)

It was the recession winter of ‘93, I’d been made redundant and was working part-time as a delivery driver for a brute of man who knew no boundaries and swore openly at everyone he met including his own mother! I had never felt so low in my life.

One evening, his mother asked if I would drop off her sister on my way home. She was a lovely lady who told me an incredible tale. By all accounts she was looking after her son all alone as her man left her when she was pregnant with him. One day she noticed her son limping and taking him to hospital found out that he has a very serious bone crippling disease. There was no cure and she had to watch him deteriorate to the point that he was placed into traction and she said his arms and legs had to be pulled from their sockets In order to help relieve the pain!

She then said, “When I tell you that I couldn’t stop crying, I mean it!, I genuinely could not stop crying! I cried for days and days. Then one day some lady and her Pastor came to visit me from some Christian church somewhere, they’d heard about my son and wanted to pray with me. I didn’t hear a word they said, as all I could do was sob …! I only noticed they’d gone when I realised that I wasn’t crying anymore.

Somehow I knew that GOD had intervened. It was raining outside but I ran to the hospital without my coat, and when I got there I found my son was completely healed! No one could tell me how.“

Our GOD answers prayers… ❤️
