Day 240/365
Beloved, don’t be obsessed with taking revenge, but leave that to God’s righteous justice. For the Scriptures say: “Vengeance is mine, and I will repay,” says the Lord. And: If your enemy is hungry, buy him lunch! Win him over with kindness. For your surprising generosity will awaken his conscience, and God will reward you with favor.” (Rom 12:19)
I remember that the Lord was trying to teach me all about this. One night I had a dream, in this dream I was having an argument with a man, which culminated in him taking a lunge at me as if to kick me.
As he drew back his leg he slipped and fell and I awoke to hear the Lord say, “You were in the wrong there.”
I was puzzled, so I questioned the Lord, “But why? He started the argument. He took up the aggressive stance. He was the one who lunged at me …! I don’t understand, why was I in the wrong?”
The Lord responded, “Because as he fell, you laughed at his misfortune.“
“Never let evil defeat you, but defeat evil with good.” (Rom 12:21) ❤️
