Day 235/365

“I will praise and give thanks to You with uprightness of heart when I learn [by sanctified experiences] Your righteous judgments [Your decisions against and punishments for particular lines of thought and conduct].” (Psa‬ ‭119:7)‬‬

Was my mother being a tyrant or a loving parent when she set my boundaries and warned me of the consequences? “Don’t touch that, it’s hot!” Etc.,

Was my teacher being a tyrant when she could see my laziness and pushed me to try harder?

Was my doctor being a tyrant when he told me to take a firm grip on my drinking before it seriously damaged my body?

Look around and see for yourselves the consequences of choosing ‘our own’ paths!

Lord GOD, save me from myself so that I can praise and give thanks to You with uprightness of heart when I learn by sanctified experiences Your righteous judgments - Your decisions against and punishments for particular lines of thought and conduct. Amen. ❤️
