Day 230/365

“O Lord of hosts, blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who trusts in You [leaning and believing on You, committing all and confidently looking to You, and that without fear or misgiving]!” (Psalm‬ ‭84:12‬)

I used to play squash (a lot) in my youth and would sometimes play as much as 3/4 games a night. I remember one year that we had a local tournament and the final was between the guy from our club, that we all wanted to win, and some other guy.

Our guy was winning hands down and the game was going badly against the other guy when he changed tack and started cheating really badly. Unfortunately the referee wasn’t picking up on his ‘professional fouls,’ and ultimately he won.

I remember coming away from the match so despondent, thinking “How can this be allowed? How can cheating be acceptable?”

Well, the Good News is that the outcome of our lives isn’t, nor ever will be, in the hands of people. Our lives are in God’s hands, and what He owns He protects - and provides for!

To that end, I was struggling badly with a financial problem once and desperately asked the Lord for a word. He responded with “Trust Me.” I asked him if he had anything else to add to that, He came back with, “Trust Me - please!” ❤️
