Day 205/365

“Moreover, as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by ceasing to pray for you...” (1 Sam‬ ‭12:23‬)

We are all aware that we now live in a self-absorbed society that just ‘can’t be bothered,’ where everything seems to be ‘just too much trouble.’

But as we learn here from the Prophet Samuel, we can’t take up this stance of being preoccupied with our own feelings, without ‘sinning against the Lord!’

(Jesus speaking) “So then, in everything treat others the same way you want them to treat you, for this is [the essence of] the Law and the [writings of the] Prophets.” (Mat ‭7:12‬)

Child of the living GOD, if we don’t follow this commandment, then we don’t just sin against the needy - we sin against the Lord, “… ‘Master, what are you talking about? When did we ever see you hungry and feed you, thirsty and give you a drink? And when did we ever see you sick or in prison and come to you?’ Then the King will say, ‘I’m telling the solemn truth: Whenever you did one of these things to someone overlooked or ignored, that was me—you did it to me.“ (Mat 25:37)
