Day 181/365

“… when the goodness and kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared [in human form as the Man, Jesus Christ], He saved us, not because of any works of righteousness that we have done, but because of His own compassion and mercy, by the cleansing of the new birth (spiritual transformation, regeneration) and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out richly upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that we would be justified [made free of the guilt of sin] by His [compassionate, undeserved] grace, and that we would be [acknowledged as acceptable to Him and] made heirs of eternal life [actually experiencing it] according to our hope (His guarantee).” (Titus‬ ‭3:4)

My friend is an Aircraft Engineer and he told me earlier this week that he has faith in evidence. Well, there may be little evidence of what GOD says in some of us right now, and it may not feel much like it to some of us right now, but whatever ‘we’ think or feel, we ‘are’ in the process of a Holy regeneration. i.e. things that were important to us and needful, but broken away and lost to us over time are being restored and renewed by the Holy Spirit.

Remember that the Holy Spirit lives in us for a reason. He wants to help us, just as the physical Jesus did with his disciples 2000 years ago.

Lord, help me rip my eyes away and stop my ears from all the things that continually vie for my attention, and to focus all my being on You, my Saviour, my Redeemer, my Friend. ❤️
