Day 167/365
“… Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God. And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours].” (Phil 4:4)
I admit that I‘ve been worried lately over a decision I’m due to make, and no matter what I’m doing or where I am, the thought of it never seems to be far away.
In the meantime, I had committed myself to an engineering project at the apartments that we live in. This project wasn’t huge, but it had taxed the minds and abilities of several people over the years and never been resolved.
The trouble is, I’m a sucker for a challenge …!
Two days in to the task and no matter what I tried, I couldn’t get it to work either...! I was angry, frustrated, fed up and about to throw-in the towel too when I heard GOD gently say, “Is this small thing any harder to me than what you’re worried about?” “Certainly not Lord!” “Then trust me …”
An hour later, (and more to my amazement than anyone else’s), I had completed the project and it was working and fully operational.
“God’s Message: “Don’t let the wise brag of their wisdom. Don’t let heroes brag of their exploits. Don’t let the rich brag of their riches. If you brag, brag of this and this only: That you understand and know me. I’m God, and I act in loyal love. I do what’s right and set things right and fair, and delight in those who do the same things. These are my trademarks.” God’s Decree.” (Jer 9:23) ❤️
