Day 163/365

“For whoever wishes to save his life [in this world] will [eventually] lose it [through death], but whoever loses his life [in this world] for My sake and the gospel’s will save it [from the consequences of sin and separation from God]. For what does it benefit a man to gain the whole world [with all its pleasures], and forfeit his soul?” (Mark‬ ‭8:35)

Let’s try and get this into perspective. Is Jesus only here to keep me on the straight and narrow and provide for all the needs of my flesh, or is there more?

“… I know Him [and I am personally acquainted with Him] whom I have believed [with absolute trust and confidence in Him and in the truth of His deity], and I am persuaded [beyond any doubt] that He is able to guard that which I have entrusted to Him until that day [when I stand before Him].” (2 Tim 1:12‬)

Jesus also assures me of the salvation of my very soul.

Lord, help me to stand before you as a Child of the Living GOD, unashamed and full of faith in your ability to keep that which I have chosen to entrust to you. Amen. ❤️
