For the eyes of the LORD move to and fro throughout the earth so that He may support those whose heart is completely His. (2 Chron 16:9)
The Lord wants to help us, but because of the law of ‘free will’ which gives each human being the right to choose which path we want to take, he wants us to trust him wholeheartedly, and not just when we’re in trouble and need rescuing.
I've told this story a few times this week. When I was healed of cancer, the church sent me to give my testimony to an older lady who lived near me. I met with her and her husband and after sharing my miracle, we prayed together. During the prayer I felt uneasy though, something just wasn’t right. Her husband went off to make coffee and I asked her, “You prayed for healing and health, but you don’t actually want to get well do you?“ She looked me right in the eye and said, “No! I’ve had quite enough of this world and I’m just going along with all this just to keep him happy, (her husband).” She passed away a few weeks later ...”
With ‘free will’ we all have the right to quit, but if we open our hearts to the Lord - and to all his awesome adventures, we will ‘live’ really ‘live’ in all his promises.
I know what it means to lack, and I know what it means to experience overwhelming abundance. For I’m trained in the secret of overcoming all things, whether in fullness or in hunger. And I find that the strength of Christ’s explosive power infuses me to conquer every difficulty. (Phil 4:12)
Come on Child of the Living GOD. Give me your heart. (Pro 23:26) ❤️
