Day 139/365
… don’t evaluate people by what they have or how they look.
We looked at the Messiah that way once and got it all wrong, as you know. We certainly don’t look at him that way anymore. (2 Cor 5:16 MSG)
I suppose the litmus test for most of us are beggars. When it comes to begging, I’ve learned (the hard way), that for every opportunist beggar out there there’s a genuinely desperate mother/father / person, who have genuinely no where else to go, and are humbling themselves by reaching out, looking for help.
So don’t harden your hearts, because Jesus warned us that the wheat would grow among the tares, nonetheless he told us that we should take the high road and keep going (loving all), right until the end.
If we underscore all that with what he says in Matthew 25:40, “Whatever you do to the least of these, you do unto Me!” Then we‘ll do well to love others as we would expect to be loved ourselves. ❤️
