Day 128/365

Three days later there was a wedding in the village of Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there. Jesus and his disciples were guests also. When they started running low on wine at the wedding banquet, Jesus’ mother told him, “They’re just about out of wine.”

Jesus said, “Is that any of our business, Mother—yours or mine? This isn’t my time. Don’t push me.”

She went ahead anyway, telling the servants, “Whatever he tells you, do it.” (John‬ ‭2:1 MSG)

Listening avidly to every preach in Church. Reading all the self-help books on Christ, or viewing all the teaching programmes there are can’t compete with Mary’s simple one-liner, “Whatever he tells you, do it.”

And Scripture tells us what the outcome will be: “… Whoever did want him, who believed he was who he claimed and would do what he said, He made to be their true selves, their child-of-God selves. (John‬ ‭1:13‬ MSG)

Child of the Living GOD, isn’t this what we all really want? To understand who we really are – and by definition who we can be?

“Whatever he tells you, do it.” ❤️
