Day 119/365

... Our love for others is our grateful response to the love God first demonstrated to us.

Anyone can say, “I love God,” yet have hatred toward another believer. This makes him a phony, because if you don’t love a brother or sister, whom you can see, how can you truly love God, whom you can’t see?

For he has given us this command: whoever loves God must also demonstrate love to others. (1 John‬ ‭4:15)

How do you ‘demonstrate’ love? From what I’ve learned from my wife and three daughters, they would much rather have someone ‘be there and listen,’ to their point of view than simply receive a cold and impersonal bunch of flowers or chocolates.

The truly valuable commodities that never lose their worth and prove your love always involve the giving of ‘yourself.’

Who will you show GOD’s kind of love to today? ❤️
