Day 118/365

The same way a loving father feels toward his children— that’s but a sample of your tender feelings toward us, your beloved children, who live in awe of you. (Psa‬ ‭103:13‬)

Our sister Lydia is at hospital today for her operation and my heart is breaking for her and her loving parents.

In the middle of this, I find out from Andrea Urquhart that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer and requires a full mastectomy.

I remind myself (and you hopefully too), that circumstances do not motivate our faith, but love does. I remind myself that I love the Lord, not for what he does for me, but because he has revealed his awesome love to me, and I have seen what this beautiful love has done in me.

He is a Good, Good Father. ❤️
